Arbours to Ickworth and Fayre to Friday Street
I've got a couple of exciting weekends coming up - thought you might like to know about them: dates for your sunny summer calendar:
This weekend (30th June / 1st July 10am-4pm:), I'm at Ickworth House for their Country Estate Fayre - here's how they describe it: "Don't miss our new Country Estate Fayre with fun for all the family.
Browse wool and craft stalls, grab a bite to eat and head on a tour with National Trust team members to learn about our Estate and Gardens.Head to our kids (and big kids) zone for our storytelling village, games and traditional rides.
Enjoy a variety of country traditions and skills such as Morris dancing, Blacksmithing and wood carving. Not forgetting a chance to meet a Suffolk Punch Horse. You wouldn't want to miss it!"
I've been building a couple of arbours to take with me and show my adoring public - they're bare steel so that they rust and form an amazing patina; they're around 9ft tall, 6ft wide and 3ft deep. Quite a handful to create as they fill my workshop together, leaving little room to move around until I can get them to their rightful place ... outside!
Next weekend (7th-8th July, 10am-4pm) is a bumper family weekend for all at The Barn for their vintage and makers fair that they're putting on in collaboration with Friday Street Farm Shop's Strawberry Fayre
All in all, this summer's scorching weather is proving to be great for getting us all out and about, doing new things, visiting new places.
Come along to Ickworth and Friday Street and give me a look
I look forward to seeing you!
