Crafts at Christmas, Garden Shows and News

Can you believe it's that time of year again? I'm already two weeks through my 6-week weekend residence at #BlackthorpeBarn and it's going amazingly well!
As is usual at this time of year, I'm spending my weekends from 9th November through to 15th December at the magically #festive place that is Blackthorpe Barn, and I've brought lots of new products as well as old favourites with me. With a #ChristmasShop and a #SantasGrotto (bookable in advance), as well as the British Crafts fair, visiting absolutely gets you right in the #Christmassy mood! Each weekend there are around 50 of us British #makers and #craftspeople with their wares on show - it's the best place to do your #ChristmasShopping, supporting #independent #artists and #artisans along the way.
Both weekends so far I've managed to sell out of several things including hornets, and have rushed back to the #workshop to make more! Incidentally, hornets are selling so well as they're now available without their pole, meaning they're easier to take home, and to dispatch.

This year I've got Renard the spider with me too - take a look at the pics below - his arrival was quite dramatic!
If you've not visited before, you won't be disappointed - if you have been to Blackthorpe Barn previously, you'll know it's just the best place to get yourself into the #Christmas zone!
In other news, I've made a conscious decision in 2020 to do more #gardenshows. I've applied to the #RHS #ChelseaFlowerShow but haven't been successful (I have been told that noone gets accepted the first time they apply!). However, I've been accepted at both RHS #Chatsworth and RHS #Cardiff Flower Shows and, watch this space, I've got two further shows to announce once they've been confirmed; alongside others in the pipeline.
If you can't make Blackthorpe Barn this year, you may like to visit #TheSHED at Sproughton - it's an amazing #antiques centre full of incredible things for your #homeandgarden. And it's not just about #antiques - The SHED host lots of different traders, some #artists, some #crafters as well as #vintage sellers... and they host my wares too! I've got examples of #gates and #fences as well as lots of #indoor #furniture - you'll see #industrial style tables amongst other things. And The SHED's also worth a visit for their '40's-style #tearoom - take a look! I've also got lawn orbs for sale at The Suffolk Food Hall - in the garden section near the back.
Finally, we've given the website a bit of a makeover - take a look and see:
Latest news - here's where you'll see the latest #commissions I'm working on, the latest #shows and #fairs that I'm doing and anything else as it happens
#Gallery - showcasing some of the things I've done in various categories
Case Studies - more of an in-depth look at a few #projects that I've worked on and commissions that I've undertaken, to give you an idea of the progress of a piece
Online shop - here's where you can order items from me for collection. In the new year, I'm going to be adding more options to my #shop: more items to #buyonline and delivery options too. Keep your eyes peeled and I'll let you now when I add more items.
Calendar - here's where you'll find me displaying my goods!
So, I hope to meet lots of you lovely people over the festive period - I'll be in touch again before the big day. If you can make it to Blackthorpe Barn, it's truly the Christmas experience!
All the best
Kev :)
