Markets and More...

This is a massive thank you to all of you that visited us on our first weekend of Kev's Christmas Market, but also to our incredible stallholders who made it easy for you to get your Christmas shopping done.

Here's some of the feedback we've had so far:

"It was a nice show on Sunday and we love our steel hornet. 😊"

"We really enjoyed the market!"

"Cant wait to come as a shopper and collect something rather tasty I got for my workshop last weekend!!!"

"We had a lovely time and got a lots of goodies . Will be back next weekend for lunch and more goodies"

"Wohooooo!!! Well done! How fab! So good for the weekend ahead share share share "

"Brilliant, Well done Kev "

"Amazing! Well done! "

"Loved it!"

"Well done Kev cracking good job"

"Great to come and see you and the other traders. There were some really great items."

"You should be very proud Kev! It looks fabulous.!!!!!!!!!"

"Just wanted to say a massive well done on the market. We came last weekend and really enjoyed shopping outside with some fantastic local artisans. Thank you so much for organising"

With a bit of mud making things slightly more difficult to get set up than anticipated, our amazingly talented local makers and traders made their stalls welcoming and were all overjoyed by the turnout that we had... the sun made a glorious appearance throughout the weekend too!

So, we're now ready to do it all over again this weekend - we're here from 10am - 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday and we're not going to let the odd little shower put us off... don't let it put you off either:

  • wear suitable footwear - we are in a field!

  • our traders are taking cards as well as cash so contactless is best

  • we've got new stallholders this weekend - and will have next weekend too

  • if you've been once, come again - it's all change each weekend

In other news, I delivered the gigantic leaf sculpture to Newbury Farm Plants this week - here are a few pics of the installation. I can't wait to see it established in its new home; Bruce is going to design the planting around and through the sculpture and it's going to look amazing.

While Bruce was installing them on Thursday with his landscaper, a customer ran over to exclaim, "I love them; I don't know what they are, but I love them AND my wife will want them!"

What more of an endorsement could I have hoped for!?

I've had a commission from a customer at Newbury Farm nursery recently too. They bought a hornet and then called to ask if I could make a 3-pronged feeder with a hornet on top. They love it, so do I. I'm not sure about Moose though!

Finally, I love seeing pics from customers of my products in their homes - here's a particularly festive one from the owners of a beautiful copper canopy.

So, it goes without saying, I wish you all a very Merry (if not unusual), Christmas - I hope to see you at the market over the next couple of weekends if you can make it. We're hoping to do the whole thing again in the Spring - we're overwhelmed with the support we've had so far and we know that both stallholders and those that have visited so far are in favour ... it's the perfect venue with plenty of parking.

Jingle bells and all things festive

Kev
